Fulfilment of a dream
Following years of nomad existence, Kavallieri RFC has finally secured a state of the art club house.
The fruit of extensive talks with the Hamrun Football Club, the current president of Kavallieri RFC, Mr. Brian Miller, managed to secure the long term lease of the club’s first ever club house.
The facility is just under the Victor Tedesco Football Stadium, just in the middle of Malta and thus making it extremely accessible from all parts of the island. The set-up consists of two interconnecting halls, a small bar/kitchen area, a boardroom with interconnecting store, changing room and showers, and male/female bathrooms.
The two interconnecting halls can dub as multipurpose halls equipped with air-conditioning, vinyl flooring and wall to wall mirrors, making them ideal for fitness/aerobic classes, lecture rooms and also entertainment venues.
The club is currently looking into leasing out the facilities during the times when not being occupied by the club in order to maximize this unique opportunity.
The premises had a complete overhaul from the previous derelict state and much of the work has been contributed by the club members and volunteers. The club held its first event within the premises on the 24th August 2009 by holding its annual general meeting."
